Welcome to the leewaters.org site. A little about me, I am a veteran teacher (35+ years), an artist, writer, and utilize ASL professionally and personally. My credentials include the following: A.A.S in Early Childhood Education, B.A. in Liberal Studies, M.S. in Deaf Education, Ed.S. in Special Education Consulting, and Ed.D. in Educational Leadership. I have current certifications in Teaching Reading K-3, Deaf Education K-12, Principal K-12, and Director of Special Education K-12. In addition to my role as a special education teacher specialist in Deaf education, I am a teacher mentor/coach as well as an ASL instructor. Recently, I presented at two statewide conferences on the subject of Executive Functioning and the impact of Working Memory on Language Acquisition. Within the district, I offer trainings ranging from Transition to Post-Secondary Education and High Leverage Practices in Special Education with an emphasis on Technology.
